Seems to me what most of the “resistance” is fighting is a figment of their own imaginations.

Mr. Trump was never part of the Republican establishment, and his administration is more of a truce than a solid front.

The “resistance” seems to be creating a bugaboo combining what they hate worst about Republicans with what they hate worst about Trump then tarring both with the same label. (And many are tarring anybody who doesn’t join their blanket “resistance” as well.)

They’re also putting the worst possible interpretation on every single thing the new administration does. They’re repeating every lie and dishonest spin the MSM spouts without thinking about it.

In the end, I suspect they’ll be abandoned by most of their base as irrelevant. And so will the MSM.
